Digital X-rays
Digital x-rays are a modern alternative to old fashioned x-rays. These are a computer-based system producing virtually instant pictures of excellent quality on the computer monitor. The image is large and can be manipulated in a variety of ways. This aids in offering a better diagnosis which can result in better treatment outcomes. They are also useful in helping our patient better understand their dental situation. Most importantly, digital x-rays greatly reduce the amount of radiation emitted, exposing you to 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays.
Intra-Oral Camera
"Smile" you're on TV. Advances in dentistry have led to the development of very small video cameras for use in the dental office. Using a camera about the size of a pen, we can take pictures inside the mouth and display them on the monitor 10-40 times their natural size! This technology allows you to see exactly what the dentist or hygienist sees and aids in better diagnosis and communication. Being able to view decay, gum disease, and other possible dental problems helps patients make informed decisions about their dental condition.
